The data should be taken at room temperature, on a rotating anode X-ray generator with a copper target, under collimation conditions chosen by the participant. Please collect data according to the suggested benchmark instructions or to optimize the anomalous information.
Data should be processed by the participants and sent to bart@bragg2.bchs.uh.edu
The format of the data should be:
The anomalous difference Patterson map will be calculated using PROTEIN with all data from 5 Å to 2 Å resolution. The standard deviation in the map will be determined by using all points in the Patterson map except those points within 3 Å of the origin. Peak heights will be expressed as the ratio of the maximum value near the true solutions to the sigma of the map.
The following information is also requested.
The data will be processed as soon as possible and a postscript Patterson map will be mailed back along with calculated peak heights. Currently, we are developing an interactive form that will help to automate this process to a greater degree. Hopefully this will be online in the not-to-distant future.
